The Darkened Horizon

The universe is full of contrasts. Wonderful contrasts. Thus, there are two distinct things of each category that fill up our perceived world.
Plants are immobile, self-feeding organisms; animals are moving, and depend on other organisms for food. Silence is the serenity of the soul that is created by harmonious blending of infinitesimal vibrations; noise is the abundance of uncoordinated sound waves. Matter is the tangible substance; energy is the abstract mover. Lots of opposites exist, and each one is a negative of the other. It is a dominating view, however, that one of the two is more preferred, describing it in terms that in itself seen as opposites. Ugliness, for example, is regarded unpleasant and brought about by evil; beauty is in itself beautiful, appreciated, and heavenly. And in turn evil is seen as hideous, foul, ugly; the good is admirable, desirable, beautiful.
A paradox occurs, and a radical point of view is born.
Let us analyze ugliness and beauty. Obviously, beauty is very superior to ugliness, but isn't it that ugliness has an innate value that makes beauty valuable? Ugliness has something good in that it serves to exult beauty; and this lowly task is a parallel to the master and the slave, where the slave humbles himself to give the master authority. And humility is a wonderful virtue in that it makes the thing or person above all others in position by serving low. Thus, ugliness is beautiful in that in makes beauty beautiful.
What, so if thoroughly generalized, their is no distinction between anything in this world?
And if this is carried to the extremes, we can say that evil is good in that it it makes the good itself good; and Satan is good in that it makes God good?
Everything crumbles after this. The day is breached with tints of darkness as night realizes it is as bright; the dead matter moves as it comes to the realization that it makes life living; and the horizon darkens as the earth and the sky take their own rightful positions...

A Serious Problem

There is a serious topic I want to discuss, and a very sensitive one, so readers please engage too.
The world is slowly degrading, and we know it in many aspects. Environmentally, there's pollution. Chemically and physically, entropy increases. A more serious thing, however, is the degradation of our morals.
Particularly, I talk about sexuality.
According to the Bible, God created man and woman. By the turn of the new civilization, however, which I call the modern civilization , there came the "middlemen", the homosexuals. May it be lesbianism or bisexualism or being gay, it is a contemporary issue that was not present in the old times. It was thus judged to be unnatural, strange, and downright disgusting.
And I agree.
Indeed, violent reactions may be harbored from this, but I am just trying to state my point; and may you please understand it first.
One thing that sets apart the homosexuals from others is their unproductive activity (and I'll tell it straight, they have sex without producing babies). I define homosexuality as doing sexual practices with the same sex (thus, I exclude the "gays" who are, frankly, "virgins"). Obviously, it is not logical for something to happen between the same gender, right? And the sin is more hideous for the promiscuous homosexuals. Look, it is obvious that having coitus outside the boundaries of marriage (and I mean normal, male-female marriage) is a sin, and those who refute are simply out of the question. God regards marriage as sacred, as "two people become one flesh" through it. Why desecrate what is so holy? And if someone asks 'why care about God' try to ask yourself if God exists, if He really created you, if it is a good thing to not acknowledge Someone who created you (and you know it deep down; if God doesn't exist, why do you know His name in the first place? someone mentioned it? who said it to them? and a cycle which ends in 'who told the very first people about God?).
Now, the homosexuals are asking for human rights. Yes, I won't refute their being human, but they seriously are a population that needs help. Why? They are sinners! They are misguided, and psychologically they need some guidance (sincere guidance). And there's more: some are asking the church to let homosexuals be priests. This is ridiculous! And they were complaining, saying that they were robbed of their rights. The Pope answered it with God's great wisdom, and with such clarity that noone needs to refute it:
"It is not a question of the church's will, but it is a question of God's will"
Hope I made my point clear.

Megastructures

So many megastructures exist in the Philippines, and no country might ever surpass it.

1. Pasig River
The waters of this very first artificially-colored and artificially-odored body of water has very subtle hues of brown and black, artistically dotted with blue, red, and green plastic containers...

2. Manila Bay
This is one of the most serene bays in the world, with a distinct fragrance that invites us to stay there for a moment longer. It is the first site where a sunscreen of very pleasant aerosols produce the most outstanding sunset in the world.

3. Payatas Smokey Mountains
True enough, it is the artificial replica of the American counterpart of the same name. It is also the most expensive, costing a billion million pesos of waste food, paper, and other ordinary materials.

To be continued...

Beauty of the Phillipines

Things to watch out in the Philippine scene...

1. Plugs without ground wires...no surprise that it's easy to catch fire here...

2. Cheap cements that crack when wet...that is why constant reconstruction must be done...

3. Cheap water bottles that melt to cause cancer...I don't know if this is still global, but I don't think so...

4. Drainage sites that clog when it rains hard...what's their use again?

5. "Mono-cables" (wires that are made up of only 1 strand of metal, not the usual two) that are 20-50 years old...another fire hazard...

6. Termite-infested government buildings...a magnitude 3 earthquake could make it crumble...

All these are the engineering "de-feats" that we, Filipinos, are very proud of...I might add some more...so much more..
